It felt good to go up to the top - Cooke

Despite the Royal London One-Day Cup match with Kent ending in a No Result, captain Chris Cooke was happy with look of the side after a reshuffle in the batting order from the previous three matches.

Overseas signing Marnus Labuschagne was moved up to open the innings with all-rounder Jeremy Lawlor, while Cooke himself moved to number three.

Cooke struck 29 from just 28 balls before being dismissed and although he wasn't able to capitalise on his start, he admitted he felt comfortable in the new role.

"We needed a bit of a re-jig in the batting order with a couple of guys still finding their feet in this format, but it's hard to say how it's gone after such a short game,"said Cooke.

"It felt good to go up to the top and lead from the front, it would have been nice to see how things panned out.

"But it's something I've done before (batting at three) many moons ago, while Marnus and Jez (Lawlor) are comfortable opening, so hopefully it's something we can build big scores on."
