Glamorgan strengthened their position at the halfway stage in their LV= County Championship match at Headingley against Yorkshire.
Overseas star Michael Neser took career-best figures of 7/32 including a hattrick as the hosts were dismissed for 106, trailing by 139 runs.
In their second innings, the Welsh county reached 57/2 (leading by 196) before rain abandoned play for the day shortly before tea.
"It was a special moment to get that hattrick - my first first-class hattrick," said Neser.
"The out-swinger wasn't doing as much and I bowled one in-swinger and it went quite big so I decided to stick with it and fortunately enough, it worked.
"It's a great position we're in. I think our batters did a good job in the first innings to rack up the total we did on a tricky wicket. With the ball we followed up and as a bowling unit we bowled really well."
