It was great to be out there with the boys - Salter

Glamorgan's game against Lancashire ended up as a heavily rain-affected draw, with both sides taking 14 points away from Old Trafford.

Andrew Salter took 2/49 in his first appearance of the season, and thought his side did well on the final day of a tricky game to play in.

"It's been one of those games. It's been tough, spending a lot of time in the changing rooms, listening to the boys a little more than we'd like to!"

"We stuck at it well, and for long periods of time it was a case of being patient with the ball.

"They sometimes came hard at us with the bat so we had be flexible with our game plans and I think we did well with that."

Salter didn't feature in red-ball cricket in 2020, and after some good performances with bat and ball for the 2nd XI was recalled to the first XI squad for the 10-wicket win over Kent, before being selected for clash at Old Trafford.

"It's great to be back. I really enjoyed being with the boys for that last home game, training with them and running on the waters, and it was even better to get the nod for this game.

"I've been putting the hard work behind the scenes and getting the overs in for the 2s to push for a place.

"I love being back and happy to pick up a couple of wickets. It was great to be out there with the boys."
