Glamorgan romped to an innings victory over Derbyshire at Sophia Gardens and kept themselves in the hunt for promotion to Division One of the LV= County Championship.
Glamorgan legend Michael Hogan took a wicket with his final ball at home for the Welsh county, as the visitors were dismissed for 273 in their second innings and his side won by an innings and 24 runs.
“Getting the win was nice for me, but very important for the team as we move forward towards our season goal of pushing for promotion," said Hogan. "By winning, we still have a chance next week.
“It was nice to get a wicket with what was essentially my last ball at Sophia Gardens. There was a little bit of emotion coming off, but the job is not done, we are all aware there is still another week left and we need another good win at Sussex, as well as relying on other results.
“It is nice to be appreciated and the fans have been great to me and my family. The boys have probably carried me along in the last couple of weeks, it was a hard graft but everybody chipped in."
