Glamorgan defeated Hampshire by 28 runs in the final Vitality Blast match of the season, as Glamorgan secured their first victory after posing 216/5.
David Lloyd, Colin Ingram, and Chris Cooke all hit rapid 40s to take the home side to their highest ever T20 total at Sophia Gardens.
“We played the cricket we know we can play and maybe the pressure was off so we could go out and express ourselves," said Cooke. "We’ve become such a consistent white-ball team over the last few years, so this campaign was a bit out of nowhere really.
"Everyone is disappointed ultimately, but hopefully we can take this win into the next month.
“We had a platform and that meant that Lloydy and I could just come in and play, so it was a brilliant wicket.
"It’s just basics really, we haven’t done the basics well enough, partnerships, someone in the top four batting through, which are fundamentals of T20 cricket we haven’t been able to nail.
"It was nice to get a win for everyone who supported us.”
