Glamorgan took control on day one of their LV= County Championship fixture against Yorkshire at Headingley.
15 wickets fell on the first day as the bowlers took control of proceedings, with Glamorgan being bowled out for 235 on a tricky pitch, largely in part to watchful innings from Marnus Labuschagne (65) and Sam Northeast (49).
Timm van der Gugten kept his fine form with the bat as he finished unbeaten on 35*, before he and Michael Neser wreaked havoc with the ball late in the day.
The Dutchman got things started by removing both openers cheaply, before the Australian took three wickets in two overs, including both Nightwatchmen in three balls, to put the Welsh County firmly on top as Yorkshire fell to 62/5 at the close.
“Getting sent in on a green and bit soft Headingley wicket," said Marnus Labuschagne.
"It was nice to grind out some runs for the team.
“It wasn’t one of those wickets where you had great rhythm or feel and could play big shots, you had to grind and fight and find a way.
“The wicket was a bit slow, so it was hard to put pressure on bowlers because it was sitting in the wicket. After lunch it quickened up a bit and scoring improved. You could get a few more boundaries away off the front foot. Prior to that, it was quite tough to score off the front foot."
