It's great for me to be part of this team - Labuschagne

Glamorgan secured their third win of the season to move top in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship, one point ahead of Lancashire who have a game in hand.

Set 188 to win in 49 overs after bundling Gloucestershire out for 161 in their second innings, overseas star Marnus Labuschagne struck 82 to steer Glamorgan to a dramatic four-wicket victory over Gloucestershire at Bristol.

38-year-old Michael Hogan was the star with the ball for the Welsh county, claiming 4/22 in 18 overs as the home side lost their last five wickets for just 16 runs.

"Most of the credit goes to our bowlers, who after the first session on day one maintained incredible lines and lengths to get the most out of the pitch," said Labuschagne.

"We were saying yesterday that if we could get three or four wickets before lunch we would have a chance. We got three and it played a bit into our hands that they didn't bat with great intent, so the scoreboard wasn't going anywhere.

"When we chased our target we kept on rotating the strike and making it difficult for them to bowl dot balls. They have some crafty bowlers and I tried to be positive and put a bit of pressure back on them.

"It's great for me to be part of this team. A really good culture has been created and it's important now that we don't look too far ahead. While I'm pleased to be playing well personally, winning games is more important to me."
