Glamorgan's match against the Sussex Sharks in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the St. Helen's ground in Swansea saw just six overs with rain washing out the contest.
The Welsh county made one change to their line-up from the defeat on Monday against Warwickshire at Edgbaston with Aneurin Donald replacing Mark Wallace, with the long-standing wicket-keeper, for the first time since July 7th, 2011, missing a 1st XI match and handing over the gloves to Chris Cooke.

Sussex also rested several regulars ahead of their NatWest T20 quarter-final next week but it was the regular pairing of Jacques Rudolph and Will Bragg who opened the batting in blustery conditions against the new ball pairing of Chris Liddle and Alfonso Thomas. After a series of singles, Bragg biffed Thomas through point for three but the light rain which had been falling then intensified as the players left the field at the end of the sixth over.

Around 11.30am the rains eased and the umpires were optimistic of a 12.15pm resumption with the game reduced to 42 overs per side, but the rains then returned preventing any thoughts of a prompt resumption. The rains eventually eased allowing the umpires to consider a 1pm resumption with the game reduced to 37 overs, but the precipitation resumed at 12.45pm.

It continued to fall until around 2.15pm during which time the players took lunch, with the umpires deciding to inspect again at 3.30pm. There were thoughts of a 16 overs per side contest starting at 4.15pm, but these were eclipsed when the rains returned. and the contest was called off at 4pm.
