Whilst Sophia Gardens hosts the IT20 match between England and Pakistan, Glamorgan play at Lord’s in their penultimate group game in the Royal London One-Day Cup, with their contest against Middlesex scheduled to start at 1100am on Sunday May 5th.

Glamorgan last visited Lord’s for a List A match against Middlesex during August 2015. The game saw Colin Ingram make 102, but Welshman James Harris claimed 4/38 before Dawid Malan feasted on an inexperienced Glamorgan bowling attack, making an unbeaten 156 as his side romped to an eight-wicket victory.

The Welsh county however were victorious on their previous visit in May 2013, when an unbeaten 137 by Marcus North, who shared a stand of 156 in 16.3 overs with Jim Allenby was the highlight of Glamorgan’s 26-run victory. Three and a half months later, Glamorgan were back at the St. John’s Wood ground for the final of the Clydesdale Bank40 competition, but it was the Notts Outlaws who were victorious by 87 runs.

Glamorgan were beaten by six runs in 2007 in their previous List A contest against Middlesex at Lord’s, but the Welsh county tied their National League encounter at Lord’s in June 2000, just a few weeks before Glamorgan met Gloucestershire in the Final of the Benson and Hedges Cup. Once again, the final at Lord’s ended in defeat for Matthew Maynard’s team.
