Championship captain Michael Hogan reflected with mixed emotions after day 3 at Durham, after taking his 250th first-class wicket for Glamorgan.
Hogan rued his teammates taking the foot off the throttle once the hosts were 9 down, but happy to reach his personal milestone and only concede a hundred run lead after Durham took a first innings lead with only 4 wickets down.
"It's good to tick off little milestones (250 wickets) and I look forward to getting 300 next season hopefully.
"Marchant (de Lange) got his five-for, he bowled a lot of overs on the bounce, and he deserved it, he's been fantastic for us and hopefully many more five-fors to come.
Hogan admitted the plan for day 4 would be to adapt to the conditions and review the position at lunch to see if the batsman can make a game.
"(The batting approach) is not necessarily about making sure we don't lose, but we need to learn how to play harder cricket, there's been countless times in the last few years where we've rolled over and it's good experience for the younger guys to battle out matches and come away with draws.
"We'll go out and see where we are tomorrow. Hopefully if we take the game forward tomorrow we'll see where we are tomorrow. We're not in the best position now but we will re-evaluate at lunch tomorrow and try and make a game of it."
