The next in the series of Winter Talks organized by the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket will be held via ZOOM on 31 January starting at 1900.
“An Evening with Michael Cann” will feature an online talk with the former batter and off-spinner who played for Glamorgan from the mid-1980s until the early 1990s, besides having a spell in domestic cricket in South Africa.
During the evening, Michael will talk about his progression from school and club cricket in the Cardiff area to a place on the staff of Glamorgan Cricket, as well appearances for the Combined Universities in the Benson and Hedges Cup, as well as playing for Orange Free State and Griqualand West.
He will also speak about a number of humourous incidents during his time playing for Glamorgan’s 1st and 2nd XI, as well as a friendship with Allan Donald, the famous South African fast bowler, and his life after professional cricket.
Attendance at the virtual meeting will be free of charge with those wishing to attend being asked to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on 30 January. A confirmation reply will be sent out, whilst joining details for the meeting itself will be sent by email at approx. 1800 on 31 January.
