Head coach Matt Maynard has named a 13-man squad for Glamorgan’s LV= Insurance County Championship match against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford tomorrow.
There are three changes to the squad which crushed Kent by 10-wickets inside two days last week.
Overseas signing Michael Neser is set to make his Glamorgan debut after returning to full fitness and Dan Douthwaite (heel) and Ruaidhri Smith (hamstring) both return from injury.
Douthwaite missed the victory over Kent, while Smith makes his first appearance in the squad this season after a picking up the injury in pre-season.
Veteran seamer Michael Hogan is rested for the fixture as the club manages his workload with the 39-year-old playing four County Championship matches in as many weeks so far this season.
Meanwhile, James Harris returns to Middlesex following the completion of his two-week loan with the club.
After four matches, the Welsh county currently sit in joint 4th place in Group Three on 44 points with two losses, a draw and the recent win over Kent, while Lancashire are undefeated and sit top of the group on 79 points.
View from the camp: David Lloyd
“It was an unbelievable win over Kent and something we hope to build on going forward and to Old Trafford.
“We’ve been in every game so far but it was nice to finally get that win and hopefully we can continue to progress as a team.
“I feel good and I’m trying to enjoy my cricket and it helps when the other lads are enjoying it too, which as a group we are. I need to keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully that big score is around the corner.
“Lancashire is a very tough game for us and it will be a good challenge for us as a batting and bowling group. Similar to Yorkshire it will be a great experience for some of the guys who haven’t played there before.”
Injury Update:
With Smith and Douthwaite returning, Jamie McIlroy is the only member of the squad out through injury with the man from Builth Wells still recovering from a rib injury.
