Glamorgan\'s five match winning streak in the Vitality Blast was broken by Somerset at Taunton yesterday thanks to an impressive display of power hitting from Corey Anderson.
The New Zealand international struck 72 from just 30 balls to lead Somerset to 210/8 and despite seven of Glamorgan players getting a startm the Welsh county fell 29 runs short.
Despite the defeat, Head Coach Robert Croft has been happy with his side's run which has seen his team win five of their last six games, which has put them in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals.
"I thought that the last five overs we bowled went for more than we would have wanted but they guys who bowled at that stage for us have done so for years, but this time it went the other way and Corey Anderson came off and it was his day," said Croft. "They scored 79 off the last five overs which took them over 200.
"In reply even batting not quite the way we would want we still got 180 from which we can take a bit of confidence.
"Chasing down a total like that you have to try to keep up with the run rate because you cant guarantee those massive overs at the end. We had to go for everything all the way through and thats the way we play but it didnt quite come off for us today. Lets be fair though if someone had said we'd win five of the last six games we would have taken it.
"We still have an opportunity with two more games to go in this competition."
