Marchant de Lange was in good spirits after helping Glamorgan to a huge win against Middlesex. The big South African took 3/19 including the prize wicket of England ODI captain Eoin Morgan.
“It’s the first time this season that I’ve executed upfront. I’m very happy with that. Obviously, going top of the lot now team-wise, but it’s been a good game tonight especially.
"It’s my first year with Glamorgan and weather-wise I’m getting used to it, with the rain up and down and shortened games but like all the previous ones, we knew it was going to be a shortened game so you just prepare yourself.
"From the start, it went well and we followed through with the bat, so that’s excellent.
“It’s excellent from a spectator point of view to get a game in. A home quarter-final is also excellent for the home crowd and we’re striving. As a squad, that was one of our goals.
Obviously we’re not done yet. We want to go all the way and hopefully we can end up in the final and bring the cup back home. That would be special to go all the way. But we have to take it game by game like the group stages. We’ll play the quarter-final ball by ball and hopefully it goes our way.”
