Andrew Salter recorded figures of 2/16 as Glamorgan cruised to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Hampshire at Sophia Gardens.
Hampshire started at lightning speed through Rilee Roussow and James Vince but were restricted in the middle overs as wickets tumbled, with Salter and Craig Meschede (3/21) bowling tight spells.
"It was our job in the middle overs to lower the run-rate, I was happy with my first over (conceding just two), then they got a bit of momentum but the ball was just holding in the wicket a little so it made it hard for them to strike the ball as they wanted, and nice to pick up some wickets," said Salter.
"It was nice to see that one (from Roussouw) go in the air and not in the stands, but it was a good fielding effort from us and we took our catches.
The all-rounder paid tribute to captain Colin Ingram who once again starred with the bat for Glamorgan, smashing 71 not out off 40 balls as the Welsh county reached 155-2 with 4.1 overs to spare.
"Colin is world-class, it's a pleasure to watch him bat, and at times he makes it look way too easy. But he's hitting the ball really well, and it's great to have him on our side."
