Reaction: Ive got mixed-emotions

All-rounder David Lloyd struck a List A career-best 92 against Middlesex but Glamorgan fell agonisingly short at Sophia Gardens Cardiff.

Set 305 to win, Lloyd came to the wicket with Glamorgan 96/3 and in partnership with Colin Ingram added 126 for the 4th wicket. Lloyd fell with Glamorgan still requiring 55 runs to win and despite some big lower order-hitting, Glamorgan fell two runs short.

“I’ve got mixed-emotions really, it would have been better to win the game and personally I’m a bit disappointed as I would have preferred to get the team over the line,” said Lloyd.

“There are some positives to take from the game, compared to the first two games.

“When I came in with Colin (Ingram) we had to graft again and we did that but once he was out we lost some momentum, but we tried and hopefully we can take this experience and get that win at Kent on Friday."

Captain Colin Ingram was also disappointed with the result after Glamorgan had got themselves into a winning position at 222/3, however he took some positives from the defeat.

"It's tough to swallow but I can't fault the guys' effort,” said Ingram.

“They really came today and had a full crack; halfway through that chase we were in control but seemed to find ways to get out and create a bit of chaos.

"So really disappointed to lose but happy with the improvements we've made and the effort the guys are putting in."
