Captain Michael Hogan put Glamorgan\'s six wicket loss to Kent in the Specsavers County Championship down to their first innings batting performance.
The Welsh county were 57 without loss at lunch, however were bowled out for 94 with opener Jack Murphy carrying his bat.
"The first day day wasn't ideal for us, we started well before that lunch to tea period (losing ten wickets), that's where it was lost," said Hogan
"We did well to get back into it but it's a shame the wicket seamed around as much as it did (on day one)."
Glamorgan next face Leicestershire on Friday and Hogan has ruled out big changes to his young side.
"We won't be changing a lot at Leicester (on Friday), we've got a good rotation of quick bowlers, we've got a solid opening partnership and we'll have to manage expectations for our young players, this game was a blip on the radar."
