Gareth Rees made 141 for Glamorgan 2nd XI in their Second Eleven Trophy match against Worcestershire 2nd XI at Kidderminster but despite his efforts, the Welsh county lost the contest by five wickets.
After batting first, Glamorgan made 292/5 in 50 overs with Rees posting 141, whilst Stewart Walters weighed in with an unbeaten 59. Rees' innings was the third highest for the Club in the competition and surpassed only by the late Tom Maynard who scored 162 against MCC Young Cricketers at Usk in 2010 and Dan Cherry who scored an unbeaten 161 at the same ground in 2002 against Worcestershire.
In reply, the home side reached their target with over five overs to spare with Gareth Andrew making 72 and New Zealand international Colin Munro 77
