We\'re rewinding the clock two years to remember Glamorgan\'s breathtaking tie against Kent Spitfires in 2014, which helped the Welsh county secure a quarter-final spot. The SSE SWALEC will again be the scene of a vital match between the two counties on Friday night.
A thrilling contest was well appreciated by a hopeful Cardiff crowd who arrived knowing that victory would be a big step towards quarter-final qualification for Glamorgan.
But when Darren Stevens hit a match-defining 71 off just 39 balls, the Welsh county were staring at defeat, only for an incredible final over from Michael Hogan to leave the scores tied on 177 each.
Earlier, contributions of 54 from Jim Allenby, 33 from Mark Wallace and Chris Cooke's quickfire 34 saw Glamorgan post a decent total of 177 from their 20 overs. It was perhaps around par and they were stunted by Stevens with the ball, as the allrounder finished with 3/22 from his four overs.
Stevens then picked up the Kent innings after a faltering start to lead the Spitfires to a near-certain victory. He smashed 71, while Sam Billings hit 33 to power the visitors from 76/4 to the brink of victory. Stevens' innings left Kent needing just three runs for victory from the final over.
Michael Hogan then stunned the watching Cardiff crowd, as his over went: Dot, Wicket, Wicket, 1, 1, Run out. The final-ball run out by Rudolph of last man Doug Bollinger secured a memorable tie and Glamorgan gained vital momentum ahead of the rest of their T20 campaign.
Rudolph and his side will be hoping for a repeat of those last-over heroics as Glamorgan seek another vital win in their push for a place in this year's knockout stages.
Glamorgan's clash with Kent Spitfires gets underway at 6.30pm at The SSE SWALEC, Cardiff. Tickets are cheaper if you book in advance. Secure your seats by clicking here.
