Glamorgan\'s Nick Selman is aiming to finish the season with three victories, as the Welsh county prepare for their final home match of the campaign.
Glamorgan face Gloucestershire in the Specsavers County Championship starting tomorrow (Tuesday) and the Australian-born opener is targeting an improved team display from last week's disappointing loss against Northamptonshire.
Selman showed great resilience in hitting an unbeaten 30 off 131 balls in a superb rearguard in the second innings at Wantage Road, but Glamorgan succumbed to defeat by 318 runs.
But Selman was keen for the whole team to step up and take victory in their last three games, to boost Glamorgan's league position in Division Two.
He said: "We've got a squad that is more than capable of winning these last three games. We need to work hard and hopefully get a few results at the back end of the season."
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season, opening the batting in four-day cricket, hitting a maiden first-class century and wants to continue making an impression in the first team.
"It's been a good experience," he added. "I didn't expect to play as many games as I have but I've enjoyed it and looking forward to the future, it's going to put me in good stead.
"It was good to get a few runs (at Northampton) on a difficult wicket. It was a different experience and good to get a few runs and spend a bit of time out in the middle."
And Selman was relishing the chance to bounce back against Gloucestershire this week.
He added: "The boys are looking forward to the last home game. Hopefully we can play some good cricket and get over the line (against Gloucestershire)."
