Opening batsman Nick Selman has hit the ground running in Australia during his overseas placement with University of New South Wales (UNSW), registering two half centuries in his first three innings.
A fortnight ago he struck 97 from 210 balls in a First Grade match against Parramatta as he and teammate James Henry shared a partnership of 226 for the second wicket.
UNSW posted 351 before Parramatta ended 283 all out to get Selman off to a winning start.
On Sunday Selman played back to back matches in the Kingsgrove Sports Twenty20 Cup.
In the first match against St. George, Selman got his side off to a flying start, smashing 24 off just 18 balls as UNSW reached 155/6 from their 20 overs. St. George reached the target with an over to go with opener Nick Stapleton the star of the show with 68 off just 41 balls.
Selman finished the day on a high however as UNSW defeated Illawarra by 10 wickets.
Set 159 to win, Selman and opening partner Joseph Byrnes blitzed the Illawarra bowling attack to all parts.
Nick finished 68 not out from 59 deliveries with six boundaries and Byrne 87 not out as UNSW won with five balls to spare.
The 22-year old Australian is carrying on the fine form he showed in the County Championship with Glamorgan, where he topped the run scoring charts with 872 runs and four centuries.
