Skipper Mark Wallace has welcomed the competition within the Glamorgan squad as the county prepare to see overseas star Jacques Rudolph join their ranks.
South African batsman Rudolph arrives in Wales this weekend to further boost morale following the superb start to the season and the convincing 10-wicket win over Surrey at the Kia Oval
Graham Wagg's second innings figures of six for 29 skittled Surrey for a paltry total of 81, leaving Glamorgan to chase 153 for an opening county championship victory.
It was a total that never looked a problem, as unbeaten half centuries from openers Gareth Rees and Will Bragg saw Glamorgan knock off the total without losing a wicket.
The Welsh county now have a 10-day break before hosting Gloucestershire at the SWALEC Stadium, with the four-day match starting on Sunday 20th April, 11am.
On fitting Jacques into the team, Wallace said: It's great to have a dilemma like that and to be able to make tough decisions.
We'll have to see how Jacques fares after taking part in the South African Ironman, they're quite tough events apparently!
But it's brilliant we've got guys in form and we're looking forward to our next game against Gloucestershire here at the SWALEC Stadium.
After replying to Surrey's 280 all out with a total of 209, Glamorgan faced a first innings deficit. But the game turned on its head with Wagg's superb spell setting up victory for Toby Radford's men.
It was a fantastic result in the end, said Wallace, who played his 200th consecutive county championship match at the Kia Oval and secured his 600th first-class victim to boot.
It was a bit of a roller coaster throughout the game - they were on top at different stages and so were we.
But we had a fantastic last morning which set us up for what looked like a resounding victory.
On reaching his personal milestone of 200 appearances, Wallace added: I managed to get there in the end but I'm quite glad it's gone - quite a few people had been talking about it, especially as I had been stuck on 199 games since last year.
Hopefully there are a few more games to come and I've still got plenty of cricket left in me. I feel very lucky to have got to where I have today and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
Glamorgan membership is still available priced from £60 for Country Membership with all categories securing the guaranteed right to purchase an Ashes Test match ticket when the Series returns to Wales in 2015.
