Surrey v Glamorgan T20: Head-to-Head

15 May 2015 | Matches
Glamorgan begin their campaign in the NatWest T20 Blast with a journey to The Kia Oval on Friday, May 15th to meet Surrey in a contest scheduled to get underway at 6.30pm.
Last year the Welsh county won a thrilling game against Surrey at The Oval by four runs thanks to a masterly half-century from Jacques Rudolph, some clever bowling and smart fielding, plus an awesome closing over from Michael Hogan as he stifled the home side's efforts in a gripping finale.

The victory also helped Glamorgan secure a place in the quarter-finals of the competition, away to the Lancashire Lightning at The Emirates Old Trafford where they duly came within one run of reaching Finals Day for the first time since 2004.

The victory at The Oval last summer was also Glamorgan's second-ever victory in the competition at the home of the South London club with the Welsh county having won in July 2010 by five wickets after Tom Maynard had posted an imperious 78.

With the contest in July 2011 being washed out, it means that Glamorgan have an unbeaten record in Twenty20 cricket at The Oval so Jacques Rudolph and his team will be looking to maintain this record and launch the Twenty20 season with another victory over Surrey.
