Ingram posted an unbeaten 95, whilst Carlson galloped to 59 from just 40 balls. On their previous visit to Hove in 2017, the Sharks had won by 59 runs after Stiaan van Zyl made a composed 96. Danny Briggs then starred with the ball for the home side as despite half-centuries from Jacques Rudolph and Chris Cooke, the South coast side eased to victory.
