Glamorgan County Cricket Club is delighted to announce the continuation of its partnership with Thatchers Cider, who will remain the Club’s Official Cider Partner for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons.
As the proud name behind the Thatchers Pavilion at Sophia Gardens, Thatchers Cider will continue to play a central role in the matchday experience, serving up a delicious range of ciders and delivering exciting activations and experiences for fans. Whether you're at the ground for the cricket, the cider, or both, this summer promises to be packed with unforgettable moments.
Ed Rice, Head of Commercial at Glamorgan Cricket, said, “We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership with Thatchers Cider for another three years. Cricket, cider and sunshine go hand-in-hand at Sophia Gardens, and Thatchers Cider have been instrumental in bringing fans closer to the action through both their product and their presence on matchdays. We look forward to raising a glass to many more memorable occasions together.”
Philip McTeer, Head of Marketing at Thatchers Cider, said: “We love being a part of the match day experience. Nothing beats being pitchside at Sophia Gardens with a cool, refreshing pint of cider in hand. We’re proud to see our name above the stands once more and are thirsty for another exciting season of cricket. We’ll be bringing more epic activations and a range of delicious ciders for an unforgettable day out.”
With its exclusive cider pouring rights, Thatchers will provide a variety of ciders at the stadium, including Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Haze and its alcohol-free cider Thatchers Zero. Their ciders will be served across bars, concessions, and hospitality areas in the stadium, allowing supporters to enjoy them on match days and non-match days.
The renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating exceptional experiences for supporters on and off the pitch.
