Glamorgan County Cricket Club is excited to announce details of three high profile International fixtures coming to Sophia Gardens in 2026.
Harry Brook’s white-ball side are set to face India in a Metro Bank ODI match at Sophia Gardens from 1pm on Thursday 16 July.
The match will be India’s first visit to Cardiff since 2019, as they faced Bangladesh in the ICC Cricket World Cup. The last time England played India on Welsh soil was an IT20 in 2018.
Brook’s England team then return to Cardiff to welcome Sri Lanka in the 2nd Vitality IT20 fixture from 6:30pm on Thursday 17 September. England last faced Sri Lanka at Sophia Gardens in 2021, sealing a series win with a game to spare.
We are also delighted to welcome Nat Sciver-Brunt’s England Women’s Team to South Wales as they take on New Zealand in the 3rd Metro Bank ODI match from 11am on Saturday 16 May.
The Women’s Team match adds to Sophia Gardens being named as a warm-up venue ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which begins next June at Edgbaston.
Further information on the 2026 International ballot is set to follow on Glamorgan channels in due course.
After Glamorgan Members, ticket purchasers from 2025 International matches have priority access.
