There’s a bumper year of cricket coming to Cardiff as the ICC Champions Trophy returns to the Welsh capital along with the final match in the three-match England versus South Africa International T20 Series and The SSE SWALEC will also host 7 NatWest T20 Blast fixtures, amongst a full domestic cricket programme.
To help you enjoy your day, here's our top tips.
1. Getting Here
There is no public car parking available in the vicinity of the ground on match days. For international fixtures the best way to get here is on a Park & Ride bus service. Plan your journey in advance and leave plenty of time to get to the ground. Glamorgan Cricket operate a Park & Ride service for all international games based at Cardiff City Stadium about a mile from the venue, priced £10 per car on arrival.
For Glamorgan CCC domestic and international cricket fixtures our close proximity to Cardiff city centre provides good access to the public transport services available along with a range of city centre car parks.
2. Contactless
We are delighted to announce that we can now accept chip & PIN and contactless payment at The SSE SWALEC. Although if you would prefer to pay with cash please be advised that there is no cash machine on site this year.
3. Bring a raincoat & sun-cream

4. Don't forget your TICKETS!
No duplicate tickets will be issued, so make sure you have them with you. For international games check the map sent in the Event Guide with your tickets to see where you are seated so you are familiar with the ground before you arrive. For domestic games we operate an unallocated seating system so you can enjoy the view from around the ground, be that behind the bowler’s arm, in the no-alcohol Family Stand or join in the fun in the Foster’s Grandstand. It’s a great view wherever you choose to sit.
5. Please stay off the pitch and within your limits
Our ground regulations prohibit pitch access except for Specsavers County Championship matches. For more details see www.glamorgancricket.com/groundregs
6. Take a walk around the ground
Make sure you visit the Fanzone for domestic T20 and international fixtures located behind the Pavilion Stand. You can soak up music with our band or resident DJ, get your food and drink and on international days you don’t need to miss a moment with the Fanzone big screen showing the action live.
7. Last minute purchase?
If your tickets haven’t been posted out, you will be able to collect at the ground from the gazebo in front of the Sport Wales building or from the Shop for County Championship matches.
8. Buying tickets on the day? If there are still tickets available there will be an On The Day ticket sales point, but to improve your customer experience we recommend you purchase in advance, and for T20 domestic games you can save money doing so too.

9. Warm Welsh Welcome
Our stewards and information ambassadors are there to help you enjoy your day and will be happy to help how they can. If you have any queries, big or small, please speak to a steward who will be happy to assist you.
10. Have a great day
Enjoy your visit to The SSE SWALEC. Gates are open two hours before the start of play for international fixtures, 90 minutes for T20 Blast games and an hour before for other domestic fixtures.
