Head Coach Matt Maynard has named an unchanged 14-man squad for the double-header weekend clashes against Gloucestershire at Bristol, and against Birmingham Bears on Sunday at Sophia Gardens.
The opening game of the tournament in Cardiff was a washout against Worcestershire Rapids, and the hectic schedule means that excluding Thursday's abandoned match, Glamorgan will play 4 games in 6 days. With trips to Bristol, Taunton and Birmingham on the cards Douthwaite believes the shortened schedule provides an opportunity to build momentum.
"We want to try get ourselves on a roll. If you can get one or two wins in your opening games, that will go a long way to advancing in the competition.
"We saw it go against us last year with games coming thick and fast, so hopefully that will go the other way this year."
While play wasn't possible against Worcestershire, Douthwaite was slated to slot in at the top of the order, with the powerful all-rounder admitted he was excited to give it a go.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's something we tried during the intra-squad game, and something I enjoyed and I think I did half-decent. I've been working really hard on it with Matt.
"I've had some chats with some boys who have done it before, and with Matt, and I just need to give myself a few balls or overs and then try get us off to the quickest start I can."
