The date for this year’s showcase fixture between Wales National County and Glamorgan Cricket has now been confirmed with the match to take place at Sophia Gardens on Sunday, 31st July at 11am.
Glamorgan will be looking to avenge last season’s surprise two-wicket loss to Wales NC and use the match as a 50-over warm-up for their defence of the Royal London Cup.
The showcase fixtures across England & Wales are the second instalment of the ECB and NCCA’s initiative to highlight the players at the top of the recreational game, as well as raising awareness of National Counties cricket as an important part of the national pathway.
Director of Cricket, Mark Wallace, said: “We’re really looking forward to playing against Wales National County again this year.”
“They’re a good side, full of strong local players and it will be perfect preparation for us as we gear up to defend the Royal London Cup.”
The game will be live streamed on the Glamorgan Cricket website via the match centre and include commentary from the BBC Sport Wales team, as well as special guests.
Entry is free for Glamorgan members, while adult tickets are £8, students £5 and juniors (U17s) just £2.
