Glamorgan Cricket is pleased to announce that Walkers & Talkers will be heading to Sophia Gardens.
Former Gloucestershire player Andy Brassington created Walkers & Talkers (which is now a charity) in order to rebuild the community and connection that had been missing from many people’s lives over the pandemic.
He didn’t know it then, but Walkers & Talkers has evolved into one of the biggest weekly social inclusion initiatives in the UK.
It started off in Brassington's local county Gloucestershire with the aim of 'helping people connect' , and soon spread to Somerset and Worcestershire.
Fans in Bristol, Taunton and Worcester now meet up every week to talk cricket, and more. We are delighted that Walkers & Talkers is now coming to Glamorgan, where fans can unite at the stunning Sophia Gardens to build a community and connection with like-minded people.
The first one in Wales will be at the stadium on Feb 13th starring Matt Maynard as guest speaker. Each session involves a gentle ramble (optional), a cuppa and an interesting visiting speaker all free of charge.
