Mark Wallace was quick to praise the Glamorgan ground staff for their hard work in getting the NatWest T20 match with Gloucestershire underway.
It was great work from the ground staff and the umpires to get us on, Wallace said.
Glamorgan exited the T20 Blast after losing tonight in a 5-over match in which they posted 45/1.
Five overs a side is the cricketing equivalent of the penalty shootout, and it's very disappointing to go out like this. But we would have been even more disappointed to have gone out in the rain.
Gloucestershire chased the total in 3.5 overs, as Chris Dent bashed his way to an 11-ball 28.
Glamorgan also lost the services of Graham Wagg with the ball after he was struck on the helmet whilst opening the batting in the first innings.
This game is not where we've gone out of the competition, we've had opportunities where we could have won. The top four sides always go through and unfortunately we were the fifth best side this year.
Graham Wagg was absolutely box office with the bat last week at Kent but unfortunately it didn't quite come off this week.
I think we were light on runs tonight, but when their guys come out and hit the ball like that we could have scored 70 or 80 and I think they would have chased them.
