Glamorgan closed in on victory on day two of their LV= County Championship match against Worcestershire at Sophia Gardens.
After dismissing the Pears for 109 in the first innings on day one, the Welsh county earned a first-innings lead of 149 after posting a score of 258 with Michael Neser scoring a magnificent 86.
The Glamorgan bowling attack had another positive day's work, taking seven wickets in the day as Worcestershire ended play with a lead of just 46 with three wickets remaining.
"I think we did well this morning to get the batting point and the target was to get the lead as high as we could," said Jamie McIlroy.
"The boys started really well with the ball. James and I backed them up nicely and we just kept hitting our lengths throughout the day.
"It was tough going. There's not a whole lot of pace and bounce left out there at the moment. We worked really hard trying to hit areas, be patient and we got the rewards".
