We thought it was doable but we lost too many wickets - Lloyd

Gloucestershire's overseas signing, Glenn Phillips' incredible 94 not out off just 41 balls led the home side to a 34-run win over Glamorgan in the Vitality Blast at Bristol.

Glamorgan started their chase brightly as David Lloyd hit 44 and Marnus Labuschagne a quickfire 33, but fell away to finish on 186/8 despite some late fireworks from Dan Douthwaite who clobbered four sixes.

"I thought they played extremely well and Phillips was just one of those knocks you have to accept, he was great to watch" said Lloyd.

"With the bat we were looking good and got off to a decent start, in our minds we thought it was doable but we lost too many wickets and they bowled pretty well at the end.

"It was a fantastic knock from Phillips but on my behalf it was annoying because I did the hard work, I would have liked to stay there and play the role he did."
