we were just a few short with the bat - Prem

Glamorgan fell to a four wicket defeat to Middlesex at Radlett in the Vitality Blast despite left-arm spinner Prem Sisodiya returning to form with 2/26 from his spell.

The Welsh county posted 168 but the home side chased it down with an over to spare with Prem acknowledging Glamorgan didn't quite put enough runs on the board.

“I think we showed great fight. It’s a quick-scoring ground where they have done quite well recently and looking back we were just a few short with the bat," said Prem.

“They got 230 here the other night and they got off to a bit of a flier today. It is a difficult place to defend a score. We needed a few more partnerships in the middle as 10-15 more would have helped us take it into the last over.

"It was nice to start with a win (at Sussex) and we've shown signs of what we can do but we missed out a little bit against Surrey with the ball and today with the bat. Hopefully on Thursday we can put the pieces of the puzzle together.

“It was nice today personally to bounce back after I got a little bit of tap at the Oval, but that’s T20 cricket where anyone can take you down on any day to be honest.”
