Glamorgan Cricket is pleased to announce the signing of all-rounder James Weighell on a two-year deal.
Weighell, 27, joins the club following previous county spells with Durham and Leicestershire.
He has played 16 first-class matches and taken 52 wickets at 28.86 and struck 529 runs at an average above 24, with three half-centuries.
In white-ball cricket, he has taken 22 wickets apiece in both List A and T20 cricket.
Director of cricket, Mark Wallace, said: “It’s great news to bring in someone the calibre of James to the club.
“He trialled with us during pre-season and impressed everyone with his all-round game. He’s a very versatile cricketer with pedigree across all formats.
“James will add depth to our squad and bolster our seam bowling options.”
On signing his contract, James Weighell, said: “It’s fantastic to be given this opportunity by Glamorgan.
“It’s a new and exciting challenge and I can’t wait to get started and repay the faith the club has put in me.
