Our next home fixture is in August as the Metro Bank One-Day Cup returns.
We will play our first two home fixtures against Durham and Warwickshire on Tuesday, 8th and Thursday, 10th August respectively at Neath Cricket Club, after the huge success of our trips there last year.
It is sure to be another bumper crowd in south-west Wales, as we play our only fixtures away from Cardiff this season.
Who can forget the amazing hundred that Tom Bevan smashed at The Gnoll last summer as he announced himself to the Glamorgan faithful with a brutal 134 off 103 balls. Tickets are available on the Glamorgan website.
We will then return to Sophia Gardens for our final two home Metro Bank One-Day Cup fixtures, as we welcome local rivals Gloucestershire followed by Northamptonshire Steelbacks to the home of Welsh cricket.
That is not all the cricket in Wales during August however, as The Hundred returns for its third edition, as the best white-ball players in the world make their way to Cardiff with Welsh Fire’s first fixture today, Wednesday 2 August, against Manchester Originals.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf will be hoping to wow the crowd with their searing pace in their first appearance for Welsh Fire.
England’s Jos Buttler will be in action at Sophia Gardens at the captain of Manchester Originals just over a month before he will return to captain England as they face New Zealand here on 8 September in the Metro Bank One-Day Series.
