Glamorgan County Cricket Club's talented wicketkeeper-batter Will Smale has been chosen to captain the MCC's tour of Zimbabwe.
Glamorgan's T20 opener Will Smale, who came through the ranks of the Club's Academy, has been given the captaincy of the prestigious MCC's touring party for their Zimbabwe trip this month.
The trip will consist of seven matches across formats, including a 3-day match at Harare against the Zimbabwe 'A' side. The tour will start with two T20 matches, followed by One-Day match, all at the Kwekwe Sports Club against professional side Rhinos. The 3-day fixture at Harare follows the two T20s, and the tour will end with three T20 matches against the Zimbabwe Academy team at the Takashinga Cricket Club.
The MCC squad also features Glamorgan 2nd XI and Wales National County's left-arm seamer Joseph Davies, who also represents the Cardiff UCCE team, for whom Will Smale played during his time at Cardiff University.
