Glamorgan players returned to pre-season this week with the first net sessions for the squad and fitness testing including the dreaded yo-yo.
After taking over spin bowling duties from Dean Cosker this season, Salter then fell behind Owen Morgan in the spin bowling pecking order towards the end of the campaign, so he's looking forward to the new season and challenging for first team selection.
"It's never nice missing out on selection," said Salter, "but it just wants to make you want the place even more.
"I'm massively keen to bowl the best I can and get into the team for my bowling and then put in some good knocks with the batting. It's something I'll be working on this winter and it's something to look forward to."
Glamorgan Physiotherapist has reported recieving fitness test reports from Glamorgan players around the globe, regardless of whether they are in Australia, South Africa or Wales as he along with the other Glamorgan coaching staff begin the hands on preparations for the squad for next season. The squad in Wales will be training in Neath for the first block of nets, whilst continuing to make use of the gym facilities at ufit in Cardiff, the club's preferred supplier.
