England and Durham bowler Mark Wood has had a second operation on his ankle, meaning he will miss a significant portion of the season.
Wood, 26, played an integral part in England's Ashes-winning summer last year, including taking four wickets in England's 169-run win in Cardiff.
The Durham paceman may well miss England's next visit to The SSE SWALEC, versus Sri Lanka in a Royal London ODI on July 2.
An ECB statement said: "Following successful surgery to the front of his left ankle in November, a further procedure was undertaken yesterday to address ongoing issues at the back of the ankle."
Wood will now start rehabilitation with the aim of returning to action for England and Durham later in the summer.
