Full name: Benjamin Ian Kellaway

Place of birth: Newport

It didn’t take Ben long to get out of the blocks in his Glamorgan first team career, scoring 82 from just 74 balls in his fourth one day game, at Worcester in the One Day Cup in August 2023, following it with an equally impressive 67 from 41 balls against Warwickshire, at Neath, a week later. As a regular wicket taker too, spinner Ben is an important all-round part of the Glamorgan team.

Ben joined Glamorgan on a rookie contract in 2023, but actually made his debut for the Glamorgan Second XI in 2021, having played for the Wales National Counties as a 15-year-old in 2019.

Educated at Clifton College, Ben’s home club is Chepstow. He was a member of the Wales Under-18 team that won the inaugural ECB T20 Cup for that age group. Prior to that, Ben was a member of the Glamorgan Pathway scheme, and he played for Glamorgan against Cardiff UCCE in 2022.
