Callum Nicholls is a young batter who has progressed through the Glamorgan pathway, the Club’s Academy and junior Welsh teams.
Educated at Ysgol Garth Olwg in Pontypridd, he played his junior cricket for St.Fagans CC and made his 2nd XI bow in 2019 before playing for Wales National Counties. Callum duly made his 1st XI debut in Glamorgan’s showcase one-day friendly in 2023 against Herefordshire at Eastnor CC.
His father Ryan was a professional footballer for Cardiff City, Leeds United, Stromsgodset, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberystwyth and Carmarthen, whilst his grandfather Dar Rees played rugby union for Abertillery as well as rugby league for Halifax, Wales and Great Britain in addition to being coach of Bradford Northern.
