Full name: Daniel Alexander Douthwaite

Place of birth: Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey

Right-hand batter, Right-arm medium-fast

Surrey-born Dan Douthwaite first made his mark playing for Cardiff UCCE. At the start of the 2019 season, he made a hundred for the students against Sussex, and then just missed out on a repeat performance, reaching 95 against Glamorgan.

Naturally, this attracted the attention of a number of counties, but he opted to sign a full-time contract with Glamorgan. He had a batting debut for Glamorgan never to forget – out three times in his first appearance: stumped off a no-ball, then caught on a free hit before his eventual dismissal!

Equally happy as a brisk seam bowler, Dan has gone on to become a valuable member of the red-ball and white-ball teams.
