All-rounder James Harris returned to Glamorgan on a full-time basis in 2022, having previously played for the county in 2021 on loan from Middlesex.

James started his career for Glamorgan in 2007, against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, while still attending school, and became the youngest bowler to take a Championship wicket for Glamorgan, aged just 16 years and 351 days. A fortnight later, he wrote another entry in the record book in taking a dozen wickets in the County Championship match against Gloucestershire in Bristol, including a 7/66 on the way to becoming the youngest person to take ten wickets in a match for Glamorgan.

James also proved himself as a decent lower middle-order batter and was selected for the England Under 19 and England Lions teams, before being called up for the England T20 series in New Zealand.

James moved to Middlesex in 2013 before returning to his home county. He is also Chair of the Professional Cricketers’ Association.
