Right-hand batter, right-arm fast-medium bowler

You wait over a century for a South African born Australian international who also plays for Queensland to join Glamorgan – and then two arrive, practically at once!

Michael Neser is the fellow countryman bowler/batter teammate of Marnus Labuschagne, and like his compatriot, wasted no time in making an impression in Wales.

A bowler who combines speed with swing, and an Australian Test player and One Day International, Michael’s hat-trick for Glamorgan versus Yorkshire in the County Championship in May 2023 delighted his team and its fans, whilst his lavish movement in the air bamboozled the Yorkshire batters. And to prove his all-round worth to the county, he is a reliable batter in the lower middle order with experience of reaching three figures.
