Toby Bailey, a former right-handed batter and wicketkeeper, brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Assistant Coach - Specialist Batting/Fielding. Bailey has served as Assistant Coach with responsibility for Fielding and Batting under Grant Bradburn from 2013 to 2018 and acted as Head Coach of the Scotland men’s national cricket team from September 2018 to February 2019. He then assumed the role of National Performance Coach from April 2019 to May 2022, followed by his appointment as the Cricket Scotland Head of Performance in May 2022 leading the male and female international teams to three ICC trophies in including qualification to the 2024 T20 World Cup and narrowly missing out on 50 over World Cup qualification.

Before moving to Cricket Scotland, Bailey began his coaching journey serving as Head Coach of the Argentinian cricket team from October 2009 to March 2012. Previously before moving into coaching, Bailey played county cricket for Northamptonshire between1995-2004.

Bailey is an ECB Level 4 coach and holds an MSc in Performance Psychology with a Dissertation exploring the yips’ in a cohort of elite cricketers.
