James Weighell, formerly of Durham and Leicestershire, signed for Glamorgan on a two-year deal in April 2021.
The right-arm seamer and left-handed batsman had a short trial period, and impressed in Glamorgan's intra-squad game enough to earn a deal from Director of Cricket Mark Wallace.
Weighell made his debut against Sussex in the County Championship clash at Sophia Gardens.
From his Cricinfo profile:
James Weighell played a prominent role in a historic Durham performance in 2018 when they won a match after following on for the first time since their admission to the Championship in 1992. Weighell warmed up with 38 with the bat to leave Leicestershire a target of 148 runs to win from 46 overs, just enough for Durham's bowlers to sense they were in with a sniff. Weighell then took a first-class best of 7 for 32 to bowl Leicestershire out for 101.
