Zain ul Hassan joined Glamorgan on a Rookie contract for 2023, having previously played for Worcestershire against West Indies A in a one-day match in 2018.
Zain moved on to Herefordshire where he played National Counties cricket and was also part of the South Asian Cricket Academy, from where he trialled impressively for Glamorgan with bat and ball in a number of Second XI games towards the end of the 2022 season, gaining a deal for 2023 as a result. He made his First XI debut for Glamorgan in May 2023.
