The final week of league games in the Aswani Indoor Junior League threw up a few surprises which had an impact on the teams progressing to the finals evening.
Radyr slipped to fourth despite being in second place for most of the season with St Fagans and Cardiff leap- frogging them. Despite being tied on points, Cardiff eventually grabbed the second finals place due to having scored more runs than St Fagans. They will play Penarth 'A' on the 26th of November on Finals Day
The U12 league was a more straight forward affair with Radyr 'A' easily securing the points needed to ensure second place. The other game of note was the draw between Penarth and Lisvane (with Lisvane taking the game with an unofficial 'super over').
As mentioned the finals evening will take place on the 26th of November starting at 7pm.
The games will be:
Under 10 final - Penarth 'A' versus Cardiff
Under 12 final - Penarth versus Radyr 'A'
Both games will be played at the same time.
In addition to the cricket there will also be a presentation held upstairs in the museum with prizes and awards being handed out by a Glamorgan player. All players and parents are invited to both watch the finals and attend the presentation.
Finally, a thank you from the Glamorgan Indoor League organisers to all players, coaches and parents for your enthusiastic support during the past couple of months as well as the support of our sponsor Aswani Sports International. As always, without this it would be very difficult to actually run such a tournament and we really do appreciate your efforts.
