CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket - Winter Talks 2015/16

The itinerary for the popular talks in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket at Glamorgan's headquarters at the SSE SWALEC has been finalised with a full programme of speakers each month from September 2015 through to March 2016.
Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 at 7.30pm Cricket in Cardiff - A History: Club Archivist and Museum Curator, Andrew Hignell outlines the history of cricket in Cardiff and the close links with landowners such as the Marquess of Bute.


Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at 7.30pm An evening with Graham Wagg: Glamorgan's current all-rounder will be reflecting on his playing career with Warwickshire, Derbyshire and now with Glamorgan.


Wednesday, November 11th, 2015 at 7.30pm Remembering Gallipoli: A special event, run in conjunction with the British Legion, looking back to events in Gallipoli in 1915 where many English, Welsh and Australian cricketers lost their lives serving King and Country.


Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at 7.30pm The History of the County Championship: prolific cricket writer Stephen Chalke talks about his latest publication, chronicling the history of the County Championship. (This talk will take place in the Pro-Copy Lounge)


Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at 7.30pm Memories of 1997: Members of Glamorgan's Championship-winning team look back on events from the summer when Glamorgan won the county title for the third time in their history.


Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 7.30pm An Evening with Edward Bevan: the long-serving BBC commentator and cricket correspondent reflects on his career as a broadcaster with Radio Wales and life on the county circuit.


Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 (TBC) at 7.30pmAn Evening with Jacques Rudolph: Glamorgan's captain reflects on his playing career so far as well as looking back on his first summer leading the Welsh county.


Tickets for current Glamorgan members cost £3 in advance or £4 on the door on the night. For non-members, it's £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
