Following the news that Cricket Wales is creating a new Board of Directors to drive the sport forward, the organisation is hoping to recruit three independent directors and five recreational game directors to make this vision a reality.
The Board will create a vision and strategic plan for Cricket Wales, provide leadership and expertise and set the Cricket Wales values and standards.
Cricket Wales is recognised by Sport Wales and Welsh Government as the National Governing Body for cricket in Wales and forms part of the England and Wales Cricket Board.
As a group Board Directors will need to demonstrate experience of change management, strategic planning, relationship management, executive performance review, finance, risk assessment and diversity/inclusion.
As well as having individuals from within cricket in Wales, the new Board will have independent directors, increased diversity, more business skills and will retain its strong link to Glamorgan CCC.
Cricket Wales Chair, Roger Morris, said: Cricket Wales is committed to a governance regime that is at the same time dynamic and responsive to the modern game.
The recent changes to the Board's structure demonstrates that commitment and allows us to tap into Wales' vast reservoirs of capable talent both from within and beyond cricket's traditional parameters.
